1) Determine what negative stories you are telling yourself about money

Such as being bad with money and being unable to save. These are all negative stories that aren’t true.

2) Make saving a non-negotiable in your budget

It has it’s own line just like groceries and Starbucks (lol)

3) Pay yourself first!

When your direct deposit hits transfer the money to your savings account immediately…don’t pass go, don’t collect Starbucks lol

4) Out of sight out of mind.

Make the savings account hidden in your online banking.

Bonus tip: If you hide the bank account and set it to transfer automatically on pay day your savings will grow automatically without you seeing it.

5) Review your goals daily!

Peace of mind and security are awesomely strong motivators.

These are great tips, girl! I never thought about the concept of stories that we tell ourselves about money that may be fictitious. So interesting! I also would’ve never thought about actually hiding a savings account. I might need to do this in 2017! 😉
